'Ocean Scape I' Felted Wallhanging
This large felted wallhanging is inspired by ‘holey’ stones, sometimes called ‘witch stones’, or ‘elf portals’ gathered on the Norfolk Coast. I source bold matt colours of mustard, turquoise, prussian blue and pink to portray the ocean scapes.
Handmade using 100% merino wool fibres which shrink and interlock during the felting process. The design is then refined by hand with needle felting, the organic nature of the wool makes each wallhanging unique and one of a kind.
The organic shape formed and natural surface texture of the wool fibres creates a highly tactile wallhanging.
The wallhanging measures approx 60cm x 60cm.
Each wallhanging can be hung directly onto the wall. The reverse of the piece features a beach wood dowel and cotton webbing ready to hang discreetly. Alternatively, a ‘skeleton clip’ will also be provided if you wish to hang in a more visual way.
